Accommodation Options and Pricing

About Accommodation Costs and Fees
Accommodation Payment Options
We provide flexible payment options to ensure that accommodation costs can be tailored to your financial circumstances. You can choose from:
- Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD): A lump sum payment that is fully refundable when you leave the facility. RAD rates vary depending on the room type and accommodation level.
- Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP): A daily fee that is charged for accommodation. This option allows you to pay for accommodation on a more flexible, ongoing basis.
- Combination of RAD and DAP: For those who prefer flexibility, you can combine both a lump sum payment (RAD) and ongoing daily payments (DAP) to cover accommodation costs.

Basic Daily Care Fee
In addition to accommodation fees, all residents are required to pay the Basic Daily Care Fee. This fee is set by the Department of Health and applies to all residential aged care services, including those at Wongaburra Society. The Basic Daily Care Fee is $56.87 per day (as of July 2023). This fee covers daily living expenses, including:
- Meals and refreshments
- Nursing care
- Cleaning and laundry services
- Heating and cooling
This fee is reviewed periodically and may change according to government regulations.
Government Assistance and Financial Support
If you need financial support, you may be eligible for assistance from the Australian Government. There are two primary means tests that determine your eligibility for government funding:
- Income Test: Assesses your income to determine the level of financial assistance you may be eligible for.
- Assets Test: Evaluates the assets you own to determine how much you will need to contribute towards accommodation costs.
